This section gives families quick guidance when a Muslim passes away and provides a printable Islamic Burial Arrangements Declaration. Families may print, sign, copy, and leave this declaration with family members, the Imam, the Masjid, a funeral home, cemetery contact, attorney, courthouse file, or other trusted records location.

This declaration states the Muslim burial wishes clearly: Islamic preparation, no voluntary autopsy unless required by law, no embalming unless required by law, no viewing after preparation, Janazah prayer only, and burial facing the Holy Ka‘bah.

What To Do Immediately
